Introduction

It’s always great to discover charming places and there’s no better time than after having recharged your batteries at La Bandideta. In this section we’ll show you routes that surround our beach bar in Cala de la Granadella that will undoubtedly captivate you.

Will you join us?

La Bandideta will be our starting point, its paved path will take you to the beginning of the trail, which is signposted all the way, and the one to follow if you really want to enjoy an amazing experience. Following the signs, you’ll start climbing and soon discover the first viewpoint, from where you will behold spectacular views of La Granadella, Punta de Ambolo and the island of the Explorer.

The route doesn’t end here. Take a deep breath, take a last look from this viewing point, start descending the steps and follow the directions until you reach the side passage that you’ll need to cross with the help of some chains. See it yet? Yes, that’s Granadella Castle and if you turn around you can enjoy the stunning views of Granadella’s Cove.

Granadella Castle is a small fortification built in the 18th century using tosca stone. Belonging to the coastal defensive system of the Kingdom of Valencia, it was occupied by a garrison of three men and two bronze cannons. It is the only defensive structure of public property preserved on the coast of Xàbia.

Shall we continue? You are in the heart of nature, facing the Mediterranean, in a unique setting, but let's continue, we still have a bit of a stretch to go, which will most definitely delight our senses. Keep on climbing as directed and fall in love with these views. Yes, what you see now are the cliffs of Benitatxell, the Cap d'Or in Moraira with its watchtower and finally, in the background, the Penyal d'Ifac.

What did you think? Now, following the trail will lead you to the Mirador de Levante, don’t expect a typical viewpoint, it is an old restored structure with some benches where you can rest and enjoy this beautiful corner of the Alicante coast.

The time has come to return. Follow the dirt trail that will take you to the paved path which leads directly to Granadella.

In order to regain your strength and continue enjoying our little paradise, we suggest a visit to La Bandideta.
How about an ice- cold tinto de verano and a pizza from our wood-fired oven? On the way!

*You can follow the route in Wikiloc to avoid missing out on anything. This platform will help you to follow the route to the Castle and the Mirador de Levante with ease. You can also ask our colleagues at La Bandideta who will be only too happy to guide and advise you.

This occasion is special, the Cala Bandida Group is celebrating its tenth anniversary and we have chosen this route, from where we can see Cala Bandida, our origins.

You won’t be able to resist this route: it has incredible views of Xàbia and is an emblematic place in the municipality. You can do it by bike, motorbike, car and, of course, on foot. If you choose to do the motorized route, we recommend that you go up the Xàbia-Dénia road (CV-736) and turn right onto the Cap de Sant Antoni road (CV-7362). You’ll then arrive at an area with easy access and parking.

We’ll start along the sandy path that you’ll find to the left of the lighthouse and follow the path marked out by the wooden railings. We’ll reach the first viewpoint, enjoy the wonderful views where you can see Denia and Ibiza in the distance. Now, go back along the same path, until you pass the parking lot, and follow the path framed by the two towers in the form of an entrance that you see before you.

Enjoy the linear descent, a quiet ramble on firm ground; at the bottom of your feet you have Cabo de San Antonio’s Marine Reserve. Don’t miss a single detail of all that surrounds you, this wonderful place is home to important micro-reserves of flora and white quartz.

Let’s continue: on your left you’ll find a path that borders the lighthouse, head towards it and get ready to enjoy. This beautiful promedade will present you with some unique views of the sea and you’ll love the breeze and tranquility of this magical place.

If you have chosen to do the route in the evening, you’ll see that the sunsets from here are incredible. The Mirador de la Marina is the clear protagonist of this moment and from here you can see Cala Bandida, our origins.

Finish up at CB: We hope you liked this special route for our 10th anniversary.
Ten years living life intensely with you.
Now all that remains is to go back and continue enjoying Cala Bandida.

You can follow the route on Wikiloc so as not to miss out on anything. This platform will help you follow the route with ease.
